Mount Street in Mayfair is one of London's most beautiful streets. The Duke of Westminster demolished the houses of Mount Street towards the end of the 1800s and left us this marvellous legacy of brick and terracotta in their place. No wonder it is one of the most prestigious streets in London - it has come a long way since it was used as a short cut for the people of central London coming to watch the public hangings at Tyburn; that's Marble Arch to you and me!
